Purdue Calumet University College was home to one spooky event this year, as students, faculty, friends and alumni joined in on food, games, a photobooth, and one giant dance party brought to life by the DJ. A party this good was sure to wake the dead!
The night was filled with ghosts, ghouls, zombies, anime characters, pokemon trainers, and tons of wacky costumes. Popcorn and pizza was served while party goers danced to the thrilling sounds the DJ was pumping onto the dance floor.
Halloween remixes and special spooky dance songs filled the air all night. Students and attendees were encouraged to vote on the best costume after getting their photo taken by a photographer.
The college DJ ran games too, like musical chairs, featuring the theme song to Friday the 13th. “The Mummy Game” was played as contest entrants tried their best to wrap a single person in toilet paper to make the best mummy. A photobooth was there also, capturing creepy pictures of fiendish students dressed in various props.
Props included goofy chicken hats, wigs, signs, and a number of feather boas and glasses. The strip was a pumpkin design with the name of the event and three color photos.
Dance offs erupted all evening, as well as slides. Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” was a huge hit on the dance floor as people showed their best moves. Students of all walks of life mingled and enjoyed each others company as the DJ played fun and creepy dance tracks till the party finally had to end.
